Parkside Produce is a small business owned and managed by Elizabeth Bradwell, with assistance from her partner, daughter and mother ~ making it a real 'family business'.
The unique hand prepared preserves in the Parkside Produce range are made using locally grown fruit wherever possible, cooked in open pans in our cottage kitchen. In our
little patch of Rockbourne (a small village in North West Hampshire, near the Dorset and Wiltshire borders)
we have planted trees and bushes of:
- apple
- pear
- greengage
- damson
- plum
- redcurrant
- blackcurrant
- gooseberry &
- rhubarb crowns
in an attempt to be self-sufficient by growing as much produce ourselves if we
can.
If it is not grown by us, then we have sourced the raw ingredients from
friends, have foraged the local hedgerows, or frequented the local fruit farms
and markets.
Our preserves often have 'Extra Jam' or 'Extra Jelly' on the label - this is due to the high fruit content and is a term that can only be used if strict requirements are met. I want my preserves to be fresh,
fruitful and affordable!
